Jericho, NY (PRWEB) April 25, 2006

SoundBytes, a catalog, web and retail-based company that specializes in providing assistive equipment for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and the agencies that serve them, today announced, that it has become the first United States based distributor of the Sound Alpha personal sound amplifier. Manufactured by Times Corporation, a Japan-based firm, the Sound Alpha is one of the smallest, lightest, and most discreet amplifiers available. At just under two-thirds of an ounce, this device has a sound pressure level of up to 112dB, which could help many hard of hearing people communicate more independently.

Unlike many comparable amplifiers, the Sound Alpha has stereo sound with dual microphones. This makes it easier to identify where a sound is coming from. The dual microphones are located along the speaker wires, making them very unobtrusive, and are positioned to amplify one’s own voice, allowing natural modulation of speech volume. The separated microphone prevents the unpleasant sound of clothes rustling or other unwanted noise. Sensitive volume control and balance adjustment allows the user to adjust the volume to suit the specific hearing loss.

The Sound Alpha is ideal for watching TV, participating in individual or group discussions, going to the theatre, and many more activities. The battery-operated device requires no complicated set up and is simple to use. “Searching for top quality products to benefit our customers communication’s needs is a constant priority of ours and the Sound Alpha represents the quality we are looking for,” said Michael Abramowitz, Managing Director of SoundBytes. “Hearing aids are sometimes not the solution for many of our hard of hearing customers and the Sound Alpha can make a tremendous difference in one’s quality of life with regards to communication.”

For just under $ 300, the Sound Alpha is available direct from SoundBytes at http://www.soundbytes.com , by calling SoundBytes at 888-816-8191, and soon at SoundBytes’ authorized dealers nationwide. Accessories included with the Sound Alpha are 1x AAA Alkali battery, earphones with 3 sizes of ear tip, and a carrying case.

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) August 11, 2006

TRIBUTARIES® Cable, ranking among the world leaders in wire and cabling for high-performance home theater and audio/video systems, has introduced a series of high end quality AC power cords. The Florida manufacturer’s new Silver Series AC Power Cables combine the very high current carrying capability required in a performance design with unexcelled shielding that provides top-notch protection from virtually all external noise sources.

Clean power is essential if today’s digital-intensive audio and video signal paths are to deliver their highest-resolution sonics and imaging—and achieving clean power means starting with a noise-immune connection to the AC supply. To this end, Tributaries® Silver Series AC Power Cables incorporate an aluminum/Mylar® shielding wrap as well as a 95% braided shield of ultra-low-resistance, oxygen-free high-conductivity (OFHC) copper, providing virtually total rejection of both high frequency RFI and lower-frequency EMI noise sources. Inside these barriers, three stranded 10-gauge (AWG) twisted conductors of OFHC copper deliver tremendous current-carrying potential, even over longer cable lengths. The Silver Series cable-shield assemblies are housed in a flexible, rugged, UL®-listed PVC jacketing, with an attractive finishing cover of black-and-gold-striped woven nylon. (This may be removed for applications that specify full UL compliance.) Finishing the Tributaries® cables are a hospital-grade, UL-listed gold-plated 3-prong male plug and a gold-plated UL-listed three-connector IEC-standard female; both terminators are molded-in for the ultimate in strength and strain-relief.

Tributaries® Silver Series AC Power Cables are available immediately, in a range of lengths at the following manufacturer’s suggested prices:

Some days and nights are simply just greater as compared to the rest. This is among those nights. I am finally starting a absolutely consistent writing routine. At the moment I found some useful content and articles I just want to share with you. This document about speaker wire made me happy. This evening was undoubtedly going nice for me personally though so with any luck this blog post gets to you in a excellent disposition also.

How To Install Choice Select Architect Series Ceiling Speakers

The following installation instructions is for Choice Select part# CHO5046. The CHO5046 is a 6.5 inch two way in ceiling loudspeaker.

Choosing the Location:

When choosing a location to install your ceiling speakers, the mounting surface should be between .37 and 1.2 inches thick. There should also be at least 5.8 inch clearance behind the mounting surface and no wall studs or other objects to block the back of the speaker.

Preparing the Ceiling Speaker for Installation:

If you want to paint the plastic frame and grill, paint them before connecting the speaker wire or mounting
the speaker.

To remove the grill, use the grill remover included with the speakers, or insert a paper clip
into one of the grill openings that pull up. You can also twist the plastic frame back and forth until the
grill edge becomes exposed.
When painting the frame, remove the grill and insert the supplied paint masking
template to prevent the paint from entering the speaker.

Connecting the Speaker Wires:

Route the speaker wire from the receiver to the speaker.

Separate about 4 inches of the speaker wire at each conductor end.

Using the wire stripper, remove about 6, (1/4 inch) of insulation from each wire.

Twist the ends of each wire to prevent fraying.

Connect a marked wire to a red speaker terminal by pressing the release tab, inserting the wire into a hole, and the releasing the tab.
Repeat this procedure to connect the unmarked wire to the black terminal.

Connect the marked wire coming from the speaker’s red terminal to the red or positive terminal on the amplifier. After this, connect the unmarked
wire to the black or negative terminal on the amplifier.

Mounting the Speaker:

Remove the grill to expose the mounting screws.

Be sure the mounting tabs are turned in, allowing the speakers to fit into the hole. Then insert the speaker into the mountinh hole.

Use the four screws to tighten the mounting tabs to the wall or ceiling.

Replace the grill: To remove the speaker from the wall or ceiling by loosening the screws only far enough to remove the speaker. This will prevent loss of the mounting
tabs.

Q&A:
Question by lycin g: dj speakers?
i have an amp that plays in stereo at 8ohms at 300 watts per channel now i have two 15’s that are 400watts and are 4ohms what do i have to do?? do i connect them like any other speaker or do i “wire” them <<dont know how to wire them......or if i bridge the amp at 4ohms/800watts can they hold?? i ask because i have two more 15's which are 600watts/8ohms so what do i do
well yeah the amp said it was stable at 4ohms its and audiopipe amp..but my question is if its ok to have the two 15's which are 8ohms with the 4ohms speakers while the amp is in stereo at 8ohms or if i bridged it and it would be at 4ohms with 800watts??
and NO its not a car amp/equipment its pro as in dj as in house amp and speakers but two of the 15's are 4ohms and the other two are 8ohms

Best answer:

Answer by countdwn2002
What brand/model of amp do you have? If it’s rated at 300W output at 8ohms, then a 4 ohm load would drive the amp harder and most likely put out more power like 450W/ch. @ 4 ohms.
Just because a speaker says it’s 600W doesn’t mean it requires that much. It would do fine with 300W. The wattage rating on speakers is the max it can handle before you fry the voice coil. What you need to check is the specs on your amp to see if it is “4 ohm stable” or even “2 ohm stable” as mine is. If you took your two 15’s and wired those in parallel, your amp would effectively see 2 ohms and it would drive your amp hard but if it’s a decent amp, it should be able to handle a 4 ohm load no problem…

Question by iamawalnuttree: How do you hook up a Palermo VA6.1 Home Theater System?
I know that the Palermo surround sound speakers are a scam, but a family member of mine bought it anyway. He doesn’t know how to set it up and I took a look and don’t know how to set it up. We need help. I’ve been looking on the internet and think I might need a “long wire” or something like that but we don’t have it. If we do need it to hook up the system, can you also tell me where we can get it? Thanks.

Best answer:

Answer by Earth: The Connected Home
You’d better check their web site. I’ve never heard of that brand.

Here online again even after this odd web service went out. I dont have a whole lot to go over nevertheless I did discover this particular speaker wire write-up right now. I hope you dig it. I wasnt sure about putting up this content. In some cases I wonder if several of such tips are even sufficient to write-up nevertheless I imagine I will put it up anyway and wish someone obtain some value in the content.

Mini Computer Speaker Superb, You over the Moon

Needless to say, on the strength of marvelous mini computer speakers, the receiver can provide the full surround sound experience from your computer and also has sub-woofer outputs. This makes it very easy to integrate a full surround system from your computer for gaming and movies. That’s cool and fantastic right? I bet you guys are all crazy about the mini computer speakers and relish in the perfect sound effect and the ensuing extraordinary enjoyment.

You know, mini computer speakers, qualifying as the portable computer speakers, are plugged into the audio output of a computer, which provides the signal that the speakers amplify with a built-in amplifier. Computer speakers typically come pre-wired. The right and left speakers are connected together with a hard-wired speaker wire, and the entire system is then plugged into the audio jack of the computer with a cable connected to the right speaker that terminates in a 3.5mm mini-jack plug. If you want to extend the range of this cable, you can do it by building a cable that terminates in a mini-jack plug (male) on one end, and a mini-jack jack (female) on the other.

1.Cut a length of 18-gauge speaker wire to the length you want for your mini computer speaker wire. The length depends completely on you and your particular needs.

2.Pull apart the two leads of the mini computer speaker wire for a distance of two inches on both ends of the wire. Remove 1/2 inch of insulation from each lead on both ends with your wire strippers.

3.Solder one of the leads to the center tab of the male mini-jack, and the other lead to the outer tab of the male mini-jack.

4.Solder one of the leads on the other end of the wire to the center tab of the female mini-jack, and the other lead to the outer tab of the female mini-jack.

By the way, there is another speaker, namely active speaker, pertinent to computer and common in your daily life. You know, the active speakers also known as powered speakers, unlike the mini computer speakers or mini laptop speakers, are speakers which are equipped with an amplifier. These speakers are commonly used with portable CD players and computers. Active speakers reduce the amount of space needed for equipment since the amplifier is built inside the speaker enclosure. Wiring active speakers is almost the same as wiring passive speakers except for the addition of the power cord.

Anyway, If you are searching for your dreaming mini computer speakers you probably gonna run into the wiring problem and I hope all mentioned above come in very handy and do you a big favor.

Right now is reminding me of situations where it is always almost all I can do to get myself away from the bed. With a little luck most people are really having a greater experience today. Nonetheless I still have to get the website kept up to date and so here is a post I found regarding speaker wire that should be of some benefit.

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) August 19, 2006

TRIBUTARIES® Cable, an established leader in wire and cabling for high-performance home theater and audio/video systems, is debuting an innovative, inventory-efficient concept in installation cabling hardware. The Florida firm’s new Totally Modular Connector Insert System allows custom installers to cut down dramatically on small-parts inventory and jobsite complications, while maintaining the very high quality and reliability of connections and terminations for which Tributaries is known.

Formerly, preparing installers for any combination of RF/cable/satellite, audio, and video connector-termination work in any of just the four commonest housing colors (white, ivory, almond, black), required, at a minimum, no fewer than 64 separate component items at a minimum. But now, Tributaries’ Totally Modular system strips this down to just twelve inventory items, dramatically reducing capital-tie-up, storage, and install complexity.

The Totally Modular concept breaks down wall-plate install elements into three basic units: connectors (gold- or nickel-plated); connector-housings (white, almond, ivory, or black), and standard or Decora™ wall plates, (standard in the same four colors, Decora in ivory or white only), each in a range of openings and/or single or dual-gang layouts.

Totally Modular elements assemble rapidly and easily, using installers’ existing, standard-format crimping and stripping tools—and each terminal accepts a colored-coded O-ring, available in a broad range of hues, to identify and track functions, feeds, or channels.

The installers simply preps the wire or cable, crimps on the color-coded connector housing, the connector itself, and then snaps together connector-housing, and wall-plate to form a finished termination, frequently in under a minute.

Totally Modular Connectors: RG6, RG59; F-type (gold- or nickel-plated); RCA: (gold- or nickel-plated) accepts color-coded O-rings; BNC: (gold- or nickel-plated) accepts color-coded O-rings

Totally Modular Connector Housings: White, Almond, Ivory, Black.

Totally Modular Standard Wall Plates: Almond, Black, Ivory, White, in single, double, triple, quad and hex openings

Totally Modular Decora Wall Plates (two-part, frame + insert): Ivory, White in single-gang and dual-gang; single-, double-, triple-, and quad-openings.

All components of Tributaries’ Totally Modular Connector Insert System are available immediately.

AUSTIN, Texas (PRWEB) July 9, 2007

This new DVD offers important and easy to do design and technical tips which provide the secrets to making the most of the acoustical and visual elements in your home for planning and enjoying the investment you’ve made in home theater.

   DHT: The Place to Be(TM)

“As the home theater concept expanded from the dedicated home theater to the family room, most of these design elements from a dedicated home theater that designers and installers were focused on never made it into the mainstream family or living room,” stated Roth. “My DVD is aimed at helping consumers combine technology and interior design elements that are crucial to optimizing the home theater experience.”

Technology and Design – The Perfect Mix

According to Roth, Destination Home Theater is more than just a DVD and encompasses a whole conceptual approach in home theater. The DHT concept is targeted to women, men, singles and couples who want to combine both technology and design elements to make their home theater space not only optimal in sound and video quality, but pleasing and enjoyable to live in and be surrounded by.

Ms. Roth plans to hold Destination Home Theater seminars in retail audio-visual stores allowing customers to gain this needed knowledge directly in the setting of their local audio-visual store, thus extending that relationship. “Women still hold most of the nation’s buying power, but no one is talking directly to them about how the home theater system can integrate most effectively into their living or family rooms until now. Also, most men don’t realize how valuable these simple do-it-yourself elements can be in optimizing their acoustical and visual levels of their display and speakers into the true “Wow Factor,” observed Roth.

Now Shipping With Money – Back Guarantee

The Destination Home Theater DVD is now available via the Destination Home Theater web site for $ 19.95, shipping included and comes with a 100% money-back guarantee. Wholesale pricing, and licensing of Roth’s content, and the opportunity to private label DHT: The Place to Be Seminars for major Audio Video and Consumer Electronics store retailers is available upon request. Qualified media and bloggers may request free review copies of the DVD. A sample of the video may be viewed at: http://www.destinationhometheater.com.

Question by Marcel: How to shrink huge video files from a digital camera in good quality and for free?
My compact camera, Canon SD870 IS, takes excellent quality video, the problem is the resulting size. A 5 minute clip takes up amazing 600 MB of disk space. I believe the format is MJPEG.

I’ve tried to convert the file in MovieMaker under Save As/High Quality Movie (large), but while sizewise it went down by an astounding 90%, there was a visible decrease in quality from the original.

I’d prefer to retain more quality, even at the cost of not reducing the size by 90, but lets say 50, 60 or 70 percent.

What free program is there that would allow me to do that?

PS: BTW I’ve also tried DivX converter trial version, once again huge reduction, even more than 90%, but visible loss of quality. The converter did not allow for any settings, just present modes, I chose the highest quaity “Home Theater”.

I really don’t need to go down 90% in size, a half will do, just let me keep the quality!

Thanks in adavance!

Answer by Dory M
Well you’ve discovered that you give something up in quality the more you compress a video. Recommend the following site as a better place to ask your questions. A lot of experts on this subject hang out there. Check out the forum and tools sections:

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) September 3, 2006

TRIBUTARIES® Cable, whose “value-high-end” audio and video cabling and accessories are known and respected around the world, has today unveiled its brand new corporate identity and web site: http://www.tributariescable.com

This fresh new ‘look and feel’ is the company’s first complete, top down, marketing makeover since the company was founded in 1991 and represents a completely new direction, style and focus for the growing company.

Unusual in the AV industry, TRIBUTARIES® have added a light-hearted and colorful style to their new marketing direction, using the ‘hands-on’ company founder and President, Joe Perfito, to personalize the company. Recognizing that the cable and accessory business is essentially as much about service as the products themselves, the company decided to focus on what sets it above other companies in the industry—great, honest products and 100% support, 100% testing and 100% guarantee, yet in a friendly and warm style.

Joe Perfito, the company President and founder said “We are delighted with our new look, which helps us celebrate our 15th Anniversary year. Although we take our customer’s needs seriously, we wanted a style that mirrored who we are, not only a company who makes great wire and cable products, but a company with a sense of humor and a great passion for what we do, every day. We believe we’ve achieved that.”

The company’s new website is easy to navigate and designed to expand with TRIBUTARIES growth. As well as featuring product information, a dealer locator and company history, which is necessary and desirable for a public site, the new site also serves as a portal to the company dealer and installer extranet, an ftp site and paves the way for future B-to-B on-line ordering system.

An extensive AV trade advertising campaign and new collateral materials to reinforce the new corporate look will be rolled out in September and will continue to the end of the year.

Question by Lora02: How do I hook up my speaker bar to my tv?
I have a Sharp Aquos LC32D43U 32-Inch TV and a verizon dvr box. The speakers on the tv SUCK so i bought a speaker bar to make it a little louder but i havent a clue how to hook it up. I bought the Sherwood sound bar speaker SB-652 but it doesnt come with hookup instructions or any kind of wires. Im getting a Sony BDP-S470 Blu-ray Disc Player next week so factor that into your answer. the back of the bar has 2 “sets” of 1 red and 1 black wire “plugs?” Any ideas what im supposed to do/buy??

Answer by Lance
You use RCA connectors to connect your TV to the Sound bar..the blu ray player connects to the TV via an HDMI cable if you don’t get sound out of the sound bar from the blu ray you are going to need to connect another RCA cable from the blu ray to the sound bar but try it first with just the HDMI cable.

I consider this is without a doubt an illustration of the times we live in that information like this is without a doubt readily available to learn online. I recall way back when I was a young child you were required to go through far more trouble to seek out info along these lines back well before the internet.

Macedonia, OH (PRWEB) December 4, 2010

KnuKonceptz updated its Global Checkout and shipping to make it easier for international car audio and home theater enthusiasts to buy everything from RCA cables to amp kits.

The new Global Checkout calculates shipping rates for purchases based on the weight and volume of the order.

Visit KnuKonceptz at:

http://www.knukonceptz.com

In the past, international customers outside of the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom had to begin their purchases with e-mail exchanges that included confirmations on shipping rates for home and car audio products and accessories.

Today, the process is extremely fast through the Global Cart that conveniently references nominal shipping rates (as low as $ 13.50 for countries other than the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom that have special rates). Orders are processed and shipped within 3 days.

The website automatically identifies new customers and their countries by their IP addresses – no need to choose a country. Place items for purchase in the cart and continue to checkout. Be sure to include the full address given variances with some post office standards.

Global Checkout only accepts credit cards (i.e. Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover).

Taxes:

Sales tax is not added to international orders. However, the buyer is responsible for any taxes that are incurred with purchases. Every country has a different tax rate for international purchases; please consult local laws and tax rates for more information.
