NAD stereo and Totem speakers live in perfect harmony

Ugh now Im simply not really feeling like writing. I think I might possibly be getting a little bit out of sorts or something. Right now is the type of occasions where it is always almost all I can get done to drag myself up from bed. I hope you are having a more desirable experience than me. However I still would like to get the site refreshed so this is a page I observed on home audio that really should be of some kind of value.

Question by sogol h: home theater problem…?? sony?
I have a DAV-HDX466 home theater system, I have a ps3 and I just bought the new Bravia XBR, I’m trying to play movies/games with the PS3, and have surround sound with my DAV-HDX466.

I connected the ps3 to the TV via HDMI, and since there is no Optical/coaxil for sound on my DAV-HDX466, I used “ouput audio red/white wire” from TV to “input audio red/white wire” on the back of DAV-HDX466, but still no sound atall.
Please help me I tried everything.

ps. I know the speakers are working, since when I use the “function” button on the reciever and set it on “FM radio” static sound comes from all the speakers, but on all other settings there is no sound. ie. “audio”, “TV/DVD”, “AM radio”.

The TV will not route HDMI audio to the analog output connector. Take the standard stereo audio cable(red/white) for the PS3 and connect that from the PS3 to the home theater. You’ll use that for sound and HDMI for video.

You then have to tell your PS3 to use the analog output by going into the settings menu of the XMB and going to the sound settings and selecting the last option on the following screen:

If you don’t get sound after that you are on the wrong input of your home theater.
