Q&A:
Question by Shawn Seidy: Trouble with HDMI audio.?
I’ve been using my HDMI cable to hook my laptop up to my TV at school for over a year now and haven’t had a problem with it. Now I’m home trying to do the same with my parents new RCA TV and, although the video displays clearly, there is no audio. I have tried everything from switching the default sound from Speaker to Realtek HDMI to Digitial Output Device (which has always worked for me in the past. I’ve also tried connecting my laptop’s headphone jack to the TV’s “Audio” jack using a 3.5mm audio jack. Any ideas on how to get sound playing?
My laptop doesn’t have those inputs. It only has a microphone, headphone, and s/pdif that relate to audio.
